Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
About The Position
Action Behavior Centers is hiring a full-time Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy to children ages 18 months to 8 years at its Rowlett, Texas location. Technicians follow personalized treatment plans, collect session data, and help children learn through play, movement, reading, games, and other hands-on activities. The role involves staying active during sessions and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment while collaborating with a supportive team. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with predictable daytime hours and no nights. Optional Saturday work may be available based on patient needs. The position offers guaranteed full-time hours, paid training, and paid RBT certification for candidates who need to complete certification within 20 days of hire. ABC describes career paths into clinical administration, operations management, and BCBA roles through its Everest Program.
Requirements
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required; candidates are also asked to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Comfortable sitting, standing, crouching, and frequently getting on and off the floor.
- Able to maintain an active pace while working with young children.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Team mindset and willingness to occasionally support a nearby clinic if needed.
Responsibilities
- Follow personalized treatment plans and collect session data.

- Stay active and engaged throughout therapy sessions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
- Collaborate with a supportive team focused on helping children grow and succeed.
- Occasionally support a nearby ABC clinic if additional coverage is needed.
