About The Position

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. The role involves implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. Candidates should be prepared for an active role with children who may be unpredictable or confrontational. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and their families.

Requirements

• Be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team environment.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Be able to obtain a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Be able to move through various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after completing onboarding.
