About The Position

Crossroads ABA Center is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join a new program. This is an in-office, part-time position with a flexible schedule to be determined, falling between 9am-5pm or 3pm-6pm. The RBT will provide direct one-on-one and small-group therapy to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in a center-based setting. Working under the supervision of a BCBA, the RBT will implement individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing communication, social skills, play, and adaptive behaviors, while also reducing challenging behaviors through the application of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) principles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical activity throughout the day
  • Reliable, punctual, and compassionate demeanor

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field
  • RBT certification (organization may provide training and supervision for certification)

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as designed by the supervising BCBA
  • Collect accurate and consistent data on target behaviors and skill goals during each therapy session
  • Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies to promote learning and independence
  • Assist with daily routines including transitions, toileting, meals, and playtime as appropriate
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to review progress and make recommendations for program adjustments
  • Follow all ethical guidelines outlined by the BACB and organizational policies
