About The Position

CLFC Healthcare and Communications is seeking eight Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join a multidisciplinary team for Anne Arundel County Public Schools' Behavioral and Mental Health Residency Model. This model places a team, including BCBAs and a licensed mental health provider, in twelve elementary schools to support high-acuity students with significant social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs. As an RBT, you will work in assigned elementary schools during the school day, implementing behavior intervention plans and student strategies under the supervision of BCBAs. Your role involves direct student support in various school settings, modeling behavioral strategies for staff, collecting data, and supporting skill-building. This is an employee (W-2) position with a school-year schedule and benefits.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Experience working with children with significant behavioral needs.
  • Compliance with BACB supervision requirements.
  • Ability to clear the background checks that Maryland law and Anne Arundel County Public Schools require for work with students.
  • A current resume and copies of your credentials.

Nice To Haves

  • School-based experience, especially in elementary grades.
  • Experience supporting students with autism or emotional and behavioral disabilities.
  • Crisis prevention and de-escalation training.
  • Experience collecting behavioral data for a BCBA.
  • Coursework or a degree in psychology, education or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, school-based implementation support for behavior intervention plans and student intervention strategies.
  • Model behavioral strategies for school staff within real classroom and school routines.
  • Collect and document behavioral data as directed by the BCBA and the school team.
  • Support student skill building in self-regulation, communication, transitions, social interaction and replacement behaviors.
  • Implement individualized strategies across school settings, including classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, recess, arrival and dismissal.
  • Implement proactive supports that reduce crisis responses and disruption to instruction.
  • Work within your training, certification and authorized scope of practice, under the supervision of an assigned BCBA.
