About The Position

As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. The role involves active work with children who can be unpredictable and potentially confrontational, and requires physical activity and comfort moving through a range of positions. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and their families as part of a dedicated team.

Requirements

• Passion for helping children with autism.
• Patience, compassion, and ability to work well in a team.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Behavioral Technician.
• Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities.
• Experience as a Teacher’s Aid, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide.
