Position Overview: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - In-Community: As an In-Community RBT at The ITD Group, you will provide one-on-one ABA therapy to clients in natural environments including: Homes — Supporting children and families in their home environment, Schools — Partnering with educators to support learning and social development, Daycares — Helping children build skills in early childhood settings. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, adaptable, client-focused, and passionate about supporting children with autism and other developmental disabilities in the environments where they learn and grow every day. Full-time and part-time positions available.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active RBT certification (BACB) in good standing
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Passion for working with children and making a real difference in their lives
  • Strong understanding of ABA principles and ethical standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, flexible, and responsive to client needs
  • Ability to adapt to diverse environments (homes, schools, daycares)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Willingness and ability to complete thorough session documentation promptly and accurately

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an ABA setting
  • Previous experience working with children with autism or developmental delays in community settings
  • Background in special education or related field
  • Familiarity with data collection systems and ABA principles
  • Safety Care training certification

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct ABA therapy following individualized treatment and behavior intervention plans in homes, schools, and daycares
  • Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies with fidelity across multiple natural environments
  • Support development in communication, social skills, daily living, academics, and play
  • Collect accurate session data using our Motivity software and complete documentation using company-approved systems
  • Complete comprehensive session notes at the end of each session, documenting that medically necessary services were delivered in accordance with the treatment plan
  • Utilize AAC devices and interactive game systems to enhance therapy engagement
  • Collaborate closely with supervising BCBAs, Clinical Director, and our transdisciplinary team
  • Communicate professionally with caregivers, teachers, and daycare staff, positioning families as active partners
  • Generalize skills across activities and settings to promote long-term success
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful therapy environment in each setting
  • Participate in regular team meetings and ongoing training opportunities
  • Travel between client locations throughout Metro Atlanta
