Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician
About The Position
Adina ABA is seeking compassionate, motivated, and energetic Behavior Technicians to join their growing team. They provide compassionate, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. Their mission is to help every child reach their fullest potential through evidence-based care, meaningful relationships, and joyful learning experiences. The Behavior Technician will work one-on-one with children under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help clients develop essential life and communication skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between client locations as needed (up to 25%).
- Availability Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–2 years of ABA experience preferred.
- Experience working with children with autism or other developmental disabilities preferred.
- Childcare, teaching assistant, classroom, or behavioral health experience is highly valued.
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred.
- Candidates without an RBT credential must be willing to obtain certification within 60 days of employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy following individualized treatment plans.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies designed by a BCBA.
- Collect accurate session data and document client progress.
- Teach communication, social, play, academic, and daily living skills using evidence-based practices.
- Support clients with activities of daily living when appropriate, including toileting, dressing, hygiene, and feeding.
- Facilitate social skills groups and structured activities when assigned.
- Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and other members of the treatment team to support client progress.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development.
