About The Position

At Regions, the Regions Business Capital Originator is responsible for growth initiatives for the Asset Based Lending group through leadership of business development efforts and management of key client and referral relationships. This role will develop and execute the origination strategy, working with a team of originators, underwriters, and portfolio managers. The role is also accountable for ensuring the team maintains required internal control standards, including adherence to audit, regulatory and compliance policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Seven (7) years of asset-based lending or related financial services industry experience in a corporate lending environment with solid achievements in developing business
  • Demonstrated positive management/leadership skills and principles
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Exceptional business development skills with demonstrated excellence in cross-selling and success in sustained revenue generation
  • Proven ability to generate new leads and partners with others
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding production goals and sales objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills used within a team environment and in client interactions with emphasis on excelling in relationship building
  • Superior communication and partnership skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Five (5) years of asset-based lending origination experience

Responsibilities

  • Originates asset-based loans in partnership with our banking teams
  • Maintains both internal and external relationships, while establishing a direct calling program on existing prospects and clients of the Bank as well as third party intermediaries, to source both new and incremental ABL financing opportunities
  • Builds and retains profitable relationships within our banking segment
  • Sets the direction for overall client experience, financial results, and risk management
  • Defines measurable business growth objectives, management processes and measures
  • Leads the building of strong partnerships between team members and product and support groups
  • Achieves performance and revenue goals
