Regional Traveling Physical Therapist
About The Position
Cranial Technologies is the leader in pediatric cranial shaping orthoses, specializing in treating plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome) and ear shape correction with EarWell®. We are seeking a Regional Traveling Physical Therapist based out of Stockton, CA, to serve our Northern California clinics. This full-time role involves working exclusively with infants in a pediatric clinical outpatient setting, offering a unique opportunity to specialize in a niche area. Clinicians are considered experts in evaluating and treating plagiocephaly and misshapen ears, developing strong relationships with families throughout the treatment process. We welcome applicants from various backgrounds, including PTs, OTs, Registered Nurses, and Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists, valuing their diverse skill sets. While pediatric experience is preferred, it is not required due to our formal training and mentoring program.
Requirements
- Licensed PT
- 500 hours of basic orthotic fitting experience with off-the-shelf orthotic devices (e.g., splints, braces, maternity belts)
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric experience
- Background knowledge of symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development (from PT/OT background)
- Experience in hands-on patient care and compassion for families, capability to treat the whole patient (from RN background)
- Hands-on experience with orthotics and direct patient care (from Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists background)
Responsibilities
- Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band® and correct ear shapes with EarWell®.
- Serve as an expert in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and conditions involving misshapen ears.
- Develop relationships with families at every stage of their treatment process.
- Travel throughout all Northern California clinics (Sacramento, San Francisco, Mountain View, San Jose, Oakland, Stockton, Fresno).
