About The Position

Cranial Technologies is the leader in pediatric cranial shaping orthoses, specializing in treating plagiocephaly and ear shape correction with EarWell®. This full-time position, based out of Stockton, CA, involves travel throughout Northern California clinics (Sacramento, San Francisco, Mountain View, San Jose, Oakland, Stockton, Fresno), with some overnights expected. The role is in a pediatric clinical outpatient setting, exclusively working with infants. Clinicians are experts in evaluating and treating plagiocephaly and misshapen ears, developing strong relationships with families. The company hires from diverse backgrounds, finding PTs, OTs, RNs, and CPOs to be excellent fits due to their relevant experience. A formal training program with mentoring is provided, making pediatric experience a preference rather than a strict requirement. This is a unique opportunity to specialize in a non-traditional, niche area within a child-friendly, state-of-the-art clinic.

Requirements

  • Licensed PT
  • 500 hours of basic orthotic fitting experience with off-the-shelf orthotic devices (e.g., splints, braces, maternity belts)
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in pediatrics
  • Experience with symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development (from PT/OT background)
  • Experience in hands-on patient care and compassion for families, capability to treat the whole patient (from RN background)
  • Hands-on experience with orthotics and direct patient care (from CPO background)

Responsibilities

  • Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band®
  • Treat infants to correct ear shapes with EarWell®
  • Evaluate and treat plagiocephaly
  • Evaluate and treat conditions involving misshapen ears
  • Develop relationships with families throughout the treatment process
