About The Position

Cranial Technologies is the world leader in researching and treating plagiocephaly (flat head syndrome) and is dedicated to pediatric cranial shaping orthoses. The company also provides the non-invasive EarWell® treatment for infant ear shapes. This full-time position is for a Regional Traveling Certified Orthotist based in Florida, covering all Florida clinics with approximately 30% overnight travel. The role is in a pediatric clinical outpatient setting, working exclusively with infants and their families. Clinicians are experts in evaluating and treating plagiocephaly and misshapen ears, building strong relationships with families throughout the treatment process. The company hires from diverse backgrounds, valuing the expertise of Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists. While pediatric experience is preferred, it is not required due to a formal training program with mentoring.

Requirements

• Certified Orthotists only
• 500 hours of basic orthotic fitting experience with off-the-shelf orthotic devices (e.g. splints, braces, maternity belts)
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience
• Background knowledge of symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development (from PT/OT backgrounds)
• Hands-on experience with orthotics and direct patient care (from CPO backgrounds)

Responsibilities

• Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band®
• Treat infants to correct ear shapes with EarWell®
• Evaluate and treat plagiocephaly
• Evaluate and treat conditions involving misshapen ears
• Develop relationships with families at every stage of their treatment process
