Regional Traveling Occupational Therapist - Florida
About The Position
Cranial Technologies is seeking a Regional Traveling Occupational Therapist for a full-time position based out of Hollywood, Jupiter, Boca Raton, or Miami, FL, traveling throughout all Florida clinics. This role is in a pediatric clinical outpatient setting, working exclusively with infants. The position offers a unique opportunity to specialize in a non-traditional, niche area, treating patients in a child-friendly, state-of-the-art clinic. The Clinician will treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band® and correct ear shapes with EarWell®. Pediatricians and parents rely on Clinicians as experts in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and misshapen ears, developing strong relationships with families throughout the treatment process. Cranial Technologies is the only company dedicated to researching and treating plagiocephaly and is a leader in pediatric cranial shaping orthoses, with over 500,000 babies successfully treated. They also provide the non-invasive EarWell® treatment for infant ear shapes, with over 600,000 successful outcomes.
Requirements
- Licensed OT
- 500 hours of basic orthotic fitting experience with off-the-shelf orthotic devices (e.g. splints, braces, maternity belts)
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
- Must complete AHCA screening program for Florida positions
Nice To Haves
- Background in pediatrics
- Pediatric experience a plus
- Physical Therapy (PT) or Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist (CPO) background knowledge of symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development
Responsibilities
- Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band®
- Treat infants to correct ear shapes with EarWell®
- Act as an expert in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and conditions involving misshapen ears
- Develop relationships with families at every stage of their treatment process
- Travel to various Florida clinics, with approximately 30% overnight travel
