About The Position

Cranial Technologies is seeking a Regional Traveling Occupational Therapist for a full-time position based in Raleigh, NC, traveling throughout all North Carolina clinics. This role is in a pediatric clinical outpatient setting, exclusively working with infants. The position offers a unique opportunity to specialize in a non-traditional, niche area, treating patients in a child-friendly, state-of-the-art clinic. As a Clinician, you will treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band® and correct ear shapes with EarWell®. Pediatricians and parents rely on our Clinicians as experts in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and misshapen ears, developing strong relationships with families throughout the treatment process. We welcome diverse backgrounds, including Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Certified Prosthetists and Orthotists (CPOs), valuing their unique skill sets. While pediatric experience is preferred, it is not required due to our formal training and mentoring program.

Requirements

  • Licensed OT
  • 500 hours of basic orthotic fitting experience with off-the-shelf orthotic devices (e.g. splints, braces, maternity belts)
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience
  • Background knowledge of symmetry and asymmetry, cervical anatomy, torticollis, and infant/toddler development (from PT/OT background)
  • Experience in hands-on patient care and compassion for families, capability to treat the whole patient (from RN background)
  • Hands-on experience with orthotics and direct patient care (from CPO background)

Responsibilities

  • Treat infants to reshape head shapes with the DOC Band®
  • Correct infant ear shapes with EarWell®
  • Act as an expert in the evaluation and treatment of plagiocephaly and conditions involving misshapen ears
  • Develop relationships with families at every stage of their treatment process
