The Regional Sales Representative will primarily be responsible for providing support for territory leave of absence as directed by manager. This includes supporting and sustaining coverage in territory, fostering and maintaining existing relationships with surgeons, and upholding team culture. The representative will act as a team player, building strong relationships with their Sales Manager and teammates through daily communication. They will represent Stryker as a leader in the industry by promoting products to surgeons and healthcare professionals, and providing excellent customer service. This includes informing customers about proper product use and maintenance, product functionality and updates, changes to the product portfolio, and educational programs. When not covering a leave of absence, the Regional Representative will be responsible for providing territory coverage for Level 1 conversions, supporting teaching institutions, overall territory support within the region, supporting Trauma Sales Education initiatives, on-site support and training for Sales Enablement 201 training, and supporting regional events such as sales representative training and assisting field sales trainers and associate trainers. This role requires extensive travel and serves as a primary backup contact for Sales Representatives and Associates. The position involves completing the Sales Representative training program, attending surgeries to ensure product availability and instruct surgeons, working with sales teams to deliver excellent customer service, identifying new prospect needs, learning new product features and benefits, implementing sales plans, and assisting Sales Representatives in meeting business targets. This role indirectly supports the sales organization by providing exceptional customer service and account support, rather than carrying direct sales or quota responsibility. It ensures continuity of service while Sales Representatives cover territories impacted by medical leaves or other coverage gaps. The position plays a critical support function in enabling the broader sales team's effectiveness and ensuring uninterrupted service to hospital partners. It also involves coordinating with management and sales teams for on-call case coverage needs, acquiring a basic understanding of sales requirements including regulatory compliance, and consistently complying with business principles and applicable laws and regulations. The role also assists in account problem resolution, maintains training in sales skills and products, and markets the product line to customers based on knowledge of functionality, features, and competitive differentiators. Maintaining knowledge of the industry, customers, and competitive trends, and participating in sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours are also key aspects of this role.
