About The Position

Internal expression of interest for a Temporary full-time opportunity till 28 May 2027. Office location: Orange (or other BCT office in the Central West/Western Region upon negotiation and availability). Hybrid working supported. Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $138,454 to $152,686 plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Our Regional Delivery team is currently seeking to appoint a Regional Team Leader to lead a high-performing team delivering biodiversity conservation outcomes across private land in NSW. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to influence conservation outcomes at a regional scale while supporting landholders, building partnerships, and driving the successful delivery of BCT programs and projects. As Regional Team Leader, you will provide leadership and oversight across a broad portfolio of work including private land conservation agreements, landholder support, biodiversity offset programs, stakeholder engagement, compliance activities and project delivery. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with landholders, community stakeholders, government agencies and industry partners to achieve positive environmental outcomes while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with organisational objectives. This role offers a collaborative and purpose-driven environment, with opportunities to contribute strategically to biodiversity conservation and support the delivery of key BCT priorities across the region.

Requirements

Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams to achieve operational and strategic outcomes.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
Experience working within natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, environmental programs, or a related discipline.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trust with diverse audiences.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide expert advice and translate complex information into clear and practical outcomes.
Proven ability to think strategically, solve complex problems and make sound decisions in a changing environment.
A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and achieving positive outcomes for landholders and stakeholders.
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in natural resource management or biodiversity conservation.
A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities
