About The Position

Black Rocket is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to work as seasonal supervisors for their technology programs. This is an after-school, seasonal position that requires commitment for the entire school year, following the local school district schedule. Black Rocket provides training for this role. Regional Supervisors are expected to supervise instructors, interact with students, parents, and program directors. The role involves managing schedules or events, managing adults, and demonstrating strong people skills. A background as a school supervisor, administrator, or teacher leader is ideal. Classroom experience, knowledge of effective instructional practices, and strong problem-solving skills are beneficial. A strong tech background is a plus but not required. Black Rocket provides unique enrichment and educational programs focused on technology and digital arts, emphasizing self-empowerment, cognitive reasoning, and divergent thinking through hands-on learning.

Requirements

• Experience managing adults, preferably in an education setting
• Experience managing schedules or planning events
• K-12 school experience ideal
• Comfortable with a range of technology
• Reliable transportation to multiple sites within your region throughout the day
• Ability to transfer up to 30 lbs of equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of effective instructional practices
• Comfortable giving feedback to and evaluating teachers
• Able to commit to the whole school year
• Available to start training immediately
• Comfortable traveling throughout the Fort Bend ISD, including multiple school sites in a day/week
• Available to be on site from 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM daily
• Available to take calls from staff throughout the week as needed and manage call outs
• Available to commit to the whole school season (September - May)
• Available for one weekend face-to-face meeting
• Available to start training online at your own pace starting immediately

Nice To Haves

• Completed or working towards supervisor or principal certification
• Background as a school supervisor, school administrator, teacher leader, or similar
• Classroom experience
• Strong tech background
• Ability to transport equipment on occasion

Responsibilities

• Supervise instructors

• Be on site from 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM daily
• Take calls from staff throughout the week as needed and manage call outs

• Commit to the whole school year (September - May)
• Attend one weekend face-to-face meeting
• Transport equipment on occasion (ideal, but not required)
