About The Position

The Regional Site Support Specialist is a hands-on IT technical resource responsible for delivering on-site technology support, maintenance, and break/fix repairs across a defined group of company locations. This role travels regularly between sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain end-user hardware, network equipment, and business-critical systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently in the field, communicate effectively with non-technical staff, and keep each site's technology running reliably with minimal downtime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interest in technology and a desire to pursue a career in healthcare IT.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with healthcare staff and patients.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite technical support for hardware and software systems in healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and medical offices.
  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of medical equipment, computer systems, and networking devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by healthcare staff, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, virus scans, and equipment inspections, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, solutions implemented, and equipment configurations, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures when working in healthcare environments.
  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking equipment usage, ordering replacement parts, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to suggestions for process improvement and ticket reduction.
