Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of physical security management experience, ideally supporting multi-site operations, critical infrastructure, and/or secure facilities.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the home site in Prince George, British Columbia or have plans to relocate before starting work.
  • Must be able to travel regularly to all three sites in British Columbia.
  • Must be able to lift up to 49 lbs.
  • Must participate in a 24/7 on call rotation. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends depending on operational requirements, and to respond to emergency calls if needed.
  • Must hold a valid class 5 driving license with clean driving abstract.
  • A clear Criminal Record Check is required.
  • Holds a Valid BC Security Worker’s License.
  • In-depth knowledge of physical security operations, including video surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems.
  • Experience securing classified, research, or highly regulated environments, including government facilities, critical infrastructure environments, and HPC data centres.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as DoD, NIST, ISO 27001/27002, NERC CIP, and/or CMMC.
  • Strong incident management, crisis communication, and investigation skills.
  • Strong proficiency in enterprise security operations and integrated security technology solutions, including enterprise-level platforms such as Genetec, LenelS2, and Avigilon systems.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant practice (security systems technology and/or physical security), or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, and basic project or inventory management tools.
  • Understanding of HVAC, power, and IT infrastructure risks as they relate to physical vulnerabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications preferred: CPP (ASIS Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), CISM, or CPTED.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day security operations across all sites in British Columbia, ensuring consistent execution of corporate security requirements.
  • Manage and monitor guarding vendor performance, including service levels, KPI’s, post orders, reporting, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate incident response and incident management, including triage, escalation, communications, documentation, and after-action follow-up.
  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc site security assessments across all locations to identify risks, recommend mitigations, and track actions to completion.
  • Lead and/or support security investigations, including evidence handling, stakeholder coordination, and reporting, in accordance with corporate requirements.
  • Establishes and coordinates the development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of policies, and procedures in alignment with Company Corporate Security standards.
  • Generate and share detailed reports on program performance and mission-related objectives through the implementation of business metrics.
  • Coordinate routinely with the security guarding vendor, site facility leads, the security systems specialist, and the access control specialist to ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
  • Drive operational efficiency, quality and company satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, safety and company requirements.
  • Travel to all three sites in BC as required to support operations, assessments, and incident response.
