Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical, engineering or life sciences discipline
  • 3–5 years of direct B2B sales experience in capital equipment, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or cleanroom manufacturing industries
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate complex product features into client-focused solutions
  • Residence within the assigned territory (NC and FL strongly preferred)
  • Willingness to travel 50–80% across Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Geogia, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina
  • Proficiency in sales methodologies (e.g., Miller Heiman, Korn Ferry), CRM tools (Salesforce.com), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to manage a remote territory autonomously with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-first mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of sterile pharmaceutical regulations (cGMP, FDA, USP, ISO standards)
  • Familiarity with industry organizations such as PDA, ISPE, IEST, and ASTM
  • Experience working in a remote, home-office environment with high self-discipline
  • Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery through delivery and invoicing

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Prioritize high-value opportunities and proactively manage territory performance.
  • Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand client needs, recommend tailored solutions, and ensure ongoing satisfaction and partnership.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of product lines, applications, and competitive differentiators. Stay current through internal training and external industry resources.
  • Lead all phases of the sales process—from prospecting and lead qualification to quoting, negotiation, closing, and post-sale follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce.com. Use Power BI to analyze territory performance, forecast revenue, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify environmental monitoring project opportunities, define scope, and collaborate with the Project Team to generate accurate quotes.
  • Work closely with Projects, Service, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless project delivery, resolve client issues, and develop case studies and technical collateral.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Travel 50–80% to cover the assigned region and build a strong local network.
  • Evaluate internal processes and contribute to a culture of operational excellence and efficiency.
