About The Position

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive revenue growth through new business development and expansion of existing customer accounts. This role will manage the full sales cycle, develop relationships with engineering, quality, purchasing, and supply-chain organizations, and identify new opportunities that align with the company’s manufacturing capabilities.

Requirements

  • B2B Sales – 6-8 years; demonstrated success managing the sales process and developing new business; experience growing existing accounts and establishing long-term customer relationships
  • Sales experience within a manufacturing environment; knowledge of manufacturing products, processes, materials, and related applications; Engineering experience is a plus; ability to understand and discuss technical requirements, specifications, drawings, tolerances, and customer applications
  • Proven prospecting and new-account development skills; strong sales, listening, questioning, and relationship-building abilities; ability to identify opportunities and determine whether prospective customers are a strong fit for company capabilities; experience with customer negotiations, quotations, pricing, and competitive analysis
  • Effective project management and organizational skills; ability to coordinate effectively with engineering, project management, materials, and other internal teams; strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities; ability to manage multiple customer opportunities and priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient with computers, email, internet research, word processing, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and other business software; ability to maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, forecasts, and activity reports

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business by identifying prospects, contacting decision-makers, following up consistently, and using networking, industry events, referrals, market research, and competitive analysis
  • Grow existing accounts by identifying new product opportunities, expansion opportunities, and ways to increase revenue
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including customer calls, prospect qualification, quotations, negotiations, pricing, and closing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering, quality, purchasing, and supply-chain organizations
  • Coordinate with internal engineering, project management, materials, and other teams to support customer projects, address technical requirements, monitor project status, and resolve issues
  • Review customer inquiries involving materials, specifications, drawings, tolerances, quotations, and other project requirements
  • Gather target pricing and competitive information and work with internal teams to develop effective quotation strategies
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM pipeline information, customer communications, and sales activity records
  • Prepare required sales reports, weekly activity updates, itineraries, expense and mileage reports, and manage travel expenses within budget
  • Stay current on company capabilities and new products or processes and communicate relevant capabilities to customers and prospects
  • Travel to customer locations (30-50% of the time) and maintain a valid driver's license and required vehicle insurance
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned
