About The Position

Mark Rite Lines Equipment Company, a subsidiary of Federal Signal, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to champion direct sales efforts in an assigned territory. This role involves working with the regional team to manage the customer base, generate sales, and develop new customers. The position requires training customers and personnel on product lines, attending regional sales meetings, and coordinating trade shows. The Regional Sales Manager will also recommend product changes and new ideas, meet sales objectives, provide forecasting information, and submit monthly accomplishment and expense reports. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining competitive manufacturer profiles, ensuring business conduct aligns with the company's mission and ethical standards, and traveling up to 50% of the time, mostly overnight. Other related functions may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have at least (3) three years capital equipment sales experience.
  • Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrate computer literacy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • High degree of initiative, enthusiasm and motivation required.
  • Ability to work in Mountain and Pacific time zones
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under time restraints and manage costs and resources required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree in Business or related field, preferred.
  • (5) Five to ten (10) years of sales experience preferred.
  • Roadway or manufacturing industry knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

  • Champion the direct sales effort in assigned territory.
  • Work with regional team to map and manage the customer base via HubSpot.
  • Generate direct sales and develop customers within specified territory.
  • Train customers and other personnel in the company's product lines.
  • Attend regional sales meetings as needed.
  • Attend and coordinate regional and national trade shows.
  • Recommend new product changes as well as other new product ideas.
  • Meet sales objectives and supply forecasting information on a monthly basis.
  • Submit monthly accomplishment report.
  • Submit expense reports on a timely basis.
  • Develop and maintain competitive manufacturer's profiles and report on their activity each month.
  • Ensure that all business conducted in the region is consistent with the company's mission statement and standard of ethical practices.
  • Must be willing and able to travel 50%, mostly overnight.
  • Other related functions as assigned.
