About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for building the optimal strategy, business and organizational plans to lead their assigned Region. With our Ecommerce fulfillment model disrupting an otherwise stagnant industry, this role will be expected to develop channel, territory and customer growth strategies and sales solutions that can be tested and refined quickly and efficiently. Effective cross-functional communication is an imperative for continuous process improvement that ensures support and engagement from all functions of the business. The Regional Sales Manager leads a team of Account Reps and coordinates with the Business Development Team to execute their vision and strategy. This position is responsible for managing and developing the team, working cross-functionally to achieve monthly sales and margin targets and hiring any new or replacement positions. This position reports to the National Sales Director and will be expected to work very closely with other Regional Sales Managers, the Business Development Manager, the Sales Operations Manager, the Marketing Manager, the Customer Service Manager, Accounts Receivable team and the Operations & Supply Chain Management functions to achieve gearUP’s business goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience with direct people leadership responsibility; remote team leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to recruit, hire, develop, and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets, KPIs, and revenue goals.
  • Strong business acumen, including expertise in sales strategy, pricing, forecasting, margin management, and performance metrics.
  • Effective negotiator with the ability to influence outcomes and manage complex or emotionally charged situations constructively.
  • Experience developing and executing new sales strategies, channels, and territories in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to distill data into actionable insights and informed decision-making.
  • Excellent cross-functional communicator who can translate complex ideas into clear, concise actions.
  • Proficient in CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working autonomously while managing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrates integrity, accountability, adaptability, and a willingness to coach, teach, and lead with courage.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed to meet business and customer demands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies and business plans that drive monthly, seasonal, and annual growth across channels, territories, and customers.
  • Lead, recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing remote sales team, including performance coaching, talent development, and hiring decisions.
  • Own regional sales performance, including forecasting accuracy, achieving or exceeding monthly revenue and margin targets, and meeting defined KPIs.
  • Analyze sales data and reporting to generate actionable insights and communicate results, risks, and recommendations to sales leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by proactively identifying needs, solving problems, mitigating retention risk, and negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Ops, Marketing, Business Development, Customer Service, Finance, and Supply Chain to align strategies, processes, and execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer dynamics to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, collaboration, and alignment with company core values.
  • Ensure effective communication, time management, and CRM discipline across the team to support efficient execution.
  • Perform other duties as required to support business objectives.
