About The Position

STIHL is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to cover our Mid-Atlantic Territory — a dynamic field leadership role where you'll build and mentor a high-performing sales team, own the growth of your territory, and serve as a key partner to dealers across the region.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Computer skills including proficiency in MS Office and web-based programs
  • Demonstrates effective time management
  • Willingness for extended overnight travel
  • Strong presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Directs staffing and training/coaching to ensure performance within the assigned region to maximize sales in each territory through field sales team.
  • Manages relationship with large dealer groups at the corporate level.
  • Helps plan, coordinate, and attends training (STIHL U and dealer/commercial customer-specific training).
  • Performs sales analysis and assists with implementation of promotions and sales strategies (IMP, specials, etc.). Provides routine reports regarding the region’s performance.
  • Assists and supports field sales team initiatives as assigned (new dealer development, market analysis, BER, EDGE, etc.).
  • Plans, coordinates, and attends regional and branch sales meetings, dealer incentive trips. Attends and supports STIHL at various regional trade shows and dealer events to promote company, products, and services.
  • Maintains sales relationships between dealers/customers and field sales team; assists Territory Managers in marketing promotions and targeted product sales.
  • Conducts daily administration tasks (responding to emails, follow up, scheduling, assisting TM/TSS in their daily task etc.).
  • Analyzes and controls field sales team reporting (CRM visit reporting, Outlook calendars, monthly field reports, territory intelligence reports as requested and budgetary requirements).
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
