Requirements

• 5+ years of sales experience in the waste or environmental services industry (or an equivalent mix of education and industry experience).
• A natural ability to coach, direct, and elevate sales representatives to peak performance.
• Solid numerical/financial skills (calculating margins, commissions, algebra/geometry application) and strong report-writing skills.
• Excellent verbal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for territory travel.
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and coach a passionate sales team, conducting periodic field assessments and regular performance check-ins.
• Analyze customer and industry trends, stay ahead of competitive pricing, and build strategic proposals for major accounts.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to connect with prospective and long-time clients, understanding their needs and promoting the GFL advantage.
• Develop market plans, retention strategies, and bid preparations, while ensuring the CRM runs smoothly.
• Identify prospective acquisition candidates, assist in budget planning/forecasting, and promote new waste stream and environmental service solutions.
