About The Position

The Northeast Regional Sales Manager, Field Sales has responsibility for the development and execution of the sales strategy. They will lead the local sales team of 20+ individual contributors to ensure delivery of business objectives and targets. This isn't your typical 9-to-5 job. As the Northeast Regional Sales Manager, Field Sales with Maersk, you'll dive into an international, challenging business environment known for its diversity and high pace. You'll be able to forge valuable relationships with current and prospective customers, working alongside highly professional teams who will recognize and reward your contributions.

Requirements

  • Established and successful track record in outside field sales, demonstrating consistent performance through direct, face-to-face customer engagement and a hands-on presence in the field, with the ability to actively coach and develop sales teams while working alongside them in real customer environments.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and identify trends.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include ability to develop and propose supply chain solutions
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to go above and beyond for customers and colleagues alike.
  • Travel within Northeast Region: 40%

Responsibilities

  • Creates, articulates and drives the sales strategy for the Northeast sales team.
  • Leverages understanding of the local business environment to support development of the sales strategy.
  • Maintains senior relationships with top accounts.
  • Makes joint sales calls with sales representatives and channel managers.
  • Ensures optimal activity management and account management to truly understand customers and their needs.
  • Oversees forecasting and budgeting processes to align with business goals.
  • Drives campaigns to generate a healthy pipeline and yield.
