About The Position

This role is for a Regional Sales Manager OEM, reporting to the Ontario Business Manager. The position involves managing the Noramco OEM sales team, developing and maintaining sales objectives, exceeding customer expectations, and identifying new business opportunities. The role requires researching products and pricing to promote new offerings and ensuring all job functions align with the Guillevin Standard Practice Instruction (SPI) Manual. Key duties include coordinating with office sales and administration, liaising with operations and purchasing, providing and following up on pricing quotations, administering new accounts, growing existing business, resolving customer complaints, scheduling work for efficient order fulfillment, ensuring superior customer service, prospecting new business, staying updated on product lines through training and research, staying informed of sales objectives and competitor activities, enrolling in continuing education for sales strategies, managing freight claims and reel returns, maintaining communication between operations and sales, participating in physical inventory, and providing back-up support to the sales department as needed. Any other duties assigned by management are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Sales/Inside Sales experience is highly beneficial
  • Knowledge of electrical industry in general would be assets

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Noramco OEM sales team.
  • Develop and maintain sales objectives.
  • Exceed customer expectations in processing orders and answering technical questions, offering value-added solutions.
  • Research new business opportunities and market Noramco products and services to new potential clients.
  • Conduct market research of products and pricing for the purpose of promoting new products.
  • Ensure all job functions are performed in accordance to the Guillevin Standard Practice Instruction (SPI) Manual.
  • Coordinate and assist, where necessary, the various functions in office sales and administration.
  • Liaise with operations and purchasing personnel while entering orders.
  • Provide pricing quotations and follow-up on every quote, when necessary.
  • Administer the opening of new accounts and maintain existing customer-account databases.
  • Grow existing business by promoting Noramco products and consistently offering expertise and service.
  • Deal with every customer complaint in an expedient manner and ensure they are satisfied with the resolve.
  • Schedule work and allocate resources to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently and administration is completed according to company protocol.
  • Ensure superior customer service is the objective during each customer interface.
  • Prospect and develop new business through a strategic process of warm and cold calls.
  • Remain up-to-date on various product lines by actively pursuing formalized vendor training programs and informal product research.
  • Stay informed of sales objectives, targeted product lines, required market-intel, vendor objectives, and competitor activities and actively promote new knowledge to management and teammates.
  • Stay current in your profession and enroll in continuing education focused on sales strategies and account management principles.
  • Ensure proper administration in the management of freight claims and reel returns.
  • Maintain effective communication between operations and sales (Noramco and NCS) so that all parties are regularly updated with capacity challenges and service issues.
  • Participate in the preparation and execution of physical inventory as required.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of product to remain up-to-date with various product lines (including vendor training) and industry changes.
  • Provide back-up support to the sales department when required.
  • Perform any other duties as required by management.
