The Regional Sales Director for sell-thru, reporting into the Executive Director of Field Sales for Shiseido Americas Brands, is responsible for achieving sales plans, growing market share, and leading a team of Transversal Sales and Training Executives to execute with excellence in their market/region of responsibility. Key deliverables include Retail Sales Goals, Market Share, Brand Rank, Regional Joint Business Planning, Freelance and T&E Budget Management, In-Store Visibility, Internal and External Relationship Management, and Performance Management. Results measured across all channels of business.

Requirements

  • 7 plus years of fragrance/cosmetics/skincare management experience
  • 7 plus years of proven leadership experience managing high-performing executive teams in both Open-Sell and Department Store environments
  • Able to travel 50%
  • Bachelor’s in business/management preferred
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability in creating sales strategy and consistently achieving sales plan
  • Demonstrated success in developing winning teams
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with internal and external teams
  • Facility to identify, prioritize, and adjust to multiple needs
  • Must be able to create winning partnerships with retailers
  • Can travel overnight to markets
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Achieve retail sales plans, through strategic analysis and execution of Company deliverables
  • Analyze the region’s business, partnering with leadership to build strategic action plans that deliver profitable brand growth & profitability.
  • Develop and maintain strong strategic partnerships with internal and external business partners resulting in increased understanding of the business and achievement of successful sales results.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, partner, and oversee team growth and overall performance management
  • Motivate and build a positive, collaborative, and open work environment aligning on delivering company initiatives
  • Recruit, build, lead, coach and develop STE’s to deliver business retail sales goals and budgets on target
  • Analyze weekly Transversal reporting tools, Retail Sales, Freelance SPH/ROI, with Sales and Training Executives, ensuring understanding and awareness
  • Support and empower the STE’s in their markets to coach and lead by example.
  • Conduct ongoing and consistent team and one-to-one communication with STE’s to maintain cohesive relationship of performance management
  • Ensure M.A.P.P.P.™ methodology is executed by the STE’s in all Retailers, across all Brands, in accordance with set principles
  • Manage and track all financial budgets, including freelance and T&E.
  • Collaborate internally with key cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop the business
  • Have effective and actionable internal and external communication: business recaps, stock needs, market feedback etc.
  • Have strong planning & executive of both in-store & virtual events and animations
