The Regional Safety Supervisor supports the development and implementation of driver training programs, safety procedures, and operational policies, with a focus on coaching new drivers and developing local driver champions across Ammonia, Dry Ice, and CO2 operations. The role promotes safe work behaviors, reduces injuries and vehicle accidents, prevents product and operational loss, and establishes safe working conditions. It is accountable for new-driver onboarding, driver-champion development, regulatory compliance, and regional safety performance and operational readiness. This is a field-based role with a regional support footprint. The supervisor spends significant time supporting, evaluating, and mentoring drivers, technicians, and branch and plant operations. Travel on a regional and national basis, including overnight stays, may reach 80%. A valid CDL is required. The role leads driver onboarding and champion development; conducts and documents road tests, vehicle inspections, and in-cab observations; and coaches driver coaches using DriveCam/Lytx. It delivers HOS and ELD, rollover prevention, HM 126F hazmat, security, and forklift safety training. It also audits drivers, fleet vehicles, facilities, records, and DOT/FMCSA training compliance; assists with accident response and investigations; prepares safety meeting presentations and training materials; and serves on the Airgas Emergency Response Organization (AERO) team. The work environment includes office settings, commercial driver cabs, industrial chemical production areas, and active field-support territories. Work combines prolonged desk and computer-based training administration with on-site audits, vehicle inspections, and ride-alongs.
