About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Regional Resort Manager to oversee operations, programs, and KPIs for seven resort locations in the South Florida region. This is a travel-based role requiring the candidate to reside in South Florida and travel frequently to the resorts, including weekends and holidays. The role involves direct oversight of Resort Managers, focusing on operational efficiency, customer experience, employee relations, and financial performance. The Regional Resort Manager will spend approximately 75% of their time visiting resorts and 25% analyzing data and handling administrative tasks. This is an exempt-level position where hours may exceed 40 per week based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Prior district, territory, regional, or other multi-unit management experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage, train, guide, and motivate employees.
  • Ability to manage multiple manager-level direct reports.
  • Ability to work in partnership with all corporate departments (Marketing, HR, Finance & Accounting, Maintenance).
  • Prior experience with interviewing, hiring, evaluating candidates, and assessing employee performance.
  • Previous leadership experience in animal care, retail, restaurant, hospitality operations, or similar industry.
  • Ability to ensure policies and procedures are enforced and initiatives are communicated and executed.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Skilled with common computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
  • Ability to read financial reports and manage payroll and inventory.
  • Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes.
  • Physically able to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Flexibility to respond to resort needs including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
  • Valid driver’s license and working motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with company standards for conduct, cleanliness, and safety across all regional resorts.
  • Provides direct oversight, guidance, and onboarding for Resort Managers in the region.
  • Develops and evaluates management teams through training, feedback, coaching, and action plans.
  • Identifies and develops talented team members for advancement, while also addressing underperformance.
  • Reviews budgets and P&Ls with resort management, providing written analysis for variances.
  • Reviews weekly resort schedules to ensure adequate staffing based on forecasted occupancy and business volume.
  • Reviews customer survey feedback to identify trends and implement improvement strategies.
  • Conducts on-site inspections of each resort to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and marketing efforts.
  • Participates in calls and meetings with HQ, cascading information to Resort Managers.
  • Serves as a resource for Resort Managers on operational, customer, pet guest, and HQ issues (including HR and employee relations).
  • Partners with and participates in community events to network and grow the customer base.
