About The Position

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of facilities operations to ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained buildings and grounds across assigned locations in South Florida. This role provides leadership for facilities maintenance, vendor coordination, safety compliance, space planning, and capital projects while supporting business continuity and a high-quality work environment. The Facilities Manager partners with internal departments and external service providers to align facilities operations with company standards, operational goals, and budget expectations.

Requirements

  • Occasional lifting or moving of materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to remain focused and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive issues and after-hours needs as required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or operations
  • Experience managing multi-site facilities preferred
  • Experience coordinating capital projects and vendor contracts
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily facilities operations for buildings, yards, and grounds
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs
  • Monitor building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems
  • Identify repair needs and coordinate corrective actions
  • Ensure facilities are clean, organized, safe, and operational
  • Source, coordinate, and manage vendors and contractors
  • Schedule maintenance, repairs, inspections, and projects
  • Review vendor performance, invoices, and service quality
  • Ensure vendors comply with safety and company requirements
  • Ensure facilities operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Support safety programs, inspections, and corrective action plans
  • Maintain compliance documentation, permits, and inspection records
  • Reinforce safe work practices and PPE usage
  • Manage facilities budgets, operating expenses, and capital projects
  • Track costs, forecasts, and spending against budget
  • Lead facility improvement projects such as renovations, expansions, or relocations
  • Coordinate space planning and office layout changes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities issues and requests
  • Communicate clearly with leadership and internal teams regarding facilities status and projects
  • Partner with HR, Safety, Operations, and IT on facility-related initiatives
  • Maintain facilities records, service logs, asset lists, and documentation
  • Prepare reports related to facilities performance, costs, and compliance
  • Support audits, inspections, and leadership reviews as needed
  • Work safely at all times and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Lead and support facilities personnel and/or assigned contractors
  • Plan, assign, and prioritize daily work activities
  • Coach, train, and develop team members
  • Address performance concerns and workflow issues
  • Promote accountability, safety, and professionalism across facilities operations
