About The Position

Seldin Company is seeking a Regional Portfolio Manager in Houston, TX. This position will manage the assigned portfolio and effectively lead their Community Business Managers team. The role is responsible for maintaining the physical asset's integrity and maximizing the returns for the assets in the assigned portfolio. The Regional Portfolio Manager will seek opportunities to enhance communications and build collaborative relationships with supervisors, peers, and subordinates, and establish positive, productive relationships with all funding, community, and regulatory agencies. The position requires preparing for and attending regular meetings with the supervisor and/or the owners to present detailed reports on portfolio performance. Additionally, the role involves seeking out public forums to contribute to the industry and build on the company’s reputation as the leader in multifamily housing. The Regional Portfolio Manager will train, motivate, and empower associates to reach their goals and those of the properties. Travel is required at approximately 50%, with the expectation to be at the property at least 40% of the schedule.

Requirements

  • Multi-site property management experience
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team
  • Financial analysis/budget knowledge
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Solid judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and organization skills
  • Budget and financial reporting knowledge
  • Three or more years of property management experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four- year college or university
