About The Position

Seldin Company is seeking a Regional Portfolio Manager to manage an assigned portfolio and lead their Community Business Managers team. This role is responsible for maintaining the physical asset's integrity and maximizing returns for the assets in the assigned portfolio. The position involves enhancing communications, building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and establishing positive relationships with funding, community, and regulatory agencies. The Regional Portfolio Manager will prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance for supervisor and owner meetings, and seek public forums to contribute to the industry and enhance the company's reputation. Additionally, this role involves training, motivating, and empowering associates to achieve their goals and property objectives. Travel is required at approximately 50%, with an expectation to be on-site at properties at least 40% of the schedule.

Requirements

  • Multi-site property management experience
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team
  • Financial analysis/budget knowledge
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Solid judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and organization skills
  • Budget and financial reporting knowledge
  • Three or more years of property management experience
  • Bachelor's degree from a four- year college or university

Responsibilities

  • Manages the assigned portfolio and effectively leads their Community Business Managers team.
  • Maintains the physical asset's integrity and maximizes the returns for the assets in the assigned portfolio.
  • Enhances communications and builds collaborative relationships with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Establishes positive, productive relationships with all funding, community, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepares for and attends regular meetings with the supervisor and/or the owners to present detailed reports on portfolio performance.
  • Seeks out public forums to contribute to the industry and build on the company’s reputation as the leader in multifamily housing.
  • Trains, motivates, and empowers associates to reach their goals and those of the properties.
