About The Position

Jabil is looking to add a Project Life Cycle Management Project Manager (PLCM PM) to our US regional new site development team. This person will work remotely and travel upto 75% throughout the US. Must be based in the US. The role of the regional PLCM Project Manager is to provide leadership, organization, strategy and coordination to support key activities for new site development, including oversight and development of project management team, as well as project planning and governance in the designated region. PLCM stands for project life cycle management. Responsibilities will include, ensuring all projects adhere to the best practices and standard approaches for program and project management. This role also manages the change and promotes continuous improvement of project management related processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Required)
  • Minimum 5+ years project management experience or related discipline
  • Minimum three (3) years work-related experience required in a supervisory/management role (Required)
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
  • Must have PLCM experience in an industrial industry
  • Experience developing and training PM staff
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required
  • Strong operational and financial knowledge required
  • Substantial knowledge of Jabil and demonstrated ability to leverage organization
  • Consultative skills (ability to understand true customer needs)
  • Good communications skills

  • Must be able to travel upto 75%

  • PMP Certification (Highly Recommended)
  • Greenfield or brownfield project experience (Preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (desired)
  • Knowledge of Jabil operating policies and procedures required
  • Expert knowledge of Jabil’s culture and guiding principles
  • Must be adept at navigating the diversified landscape with respect to country cultures, company divisions and internal hierarchies
  • Previous experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Prior experience in customer interface

Responsibilities

  • Works with Senior management defining strategies and their deployment
  • Works with site Ops PMO Mgr in strategies and tools deployment and their performance
  • Works with Operations leaders to develop project-resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities
  • Hire and train site PLCM PMs for the new sites
  • Ensure PLCM process is established in the new sites
  • Ensures that all projects and initiatives in project management services are aligned with Operations strategy and priorities
  • Prepare, analyze and report enterprise wide report to the senior management
  • Ensures adoption and implementation of project management methodology and tools and oversees project and management coaching
  • Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of project management policies, standards, procedures
  • Work with Project Managers to review, monitor project and site health
  • Establish and implement metrics that measure project performance
  • Determine the project health by measuring the variance in scope, schedule, cost and quality from the respective baselines
  • Develop and maintain Executive dashboard
  • Provide reporting to senior management and stakeholders
  • Conducts periodic project audits
  • Resource usage tracking and ensure the optimized usage of resources
  • Work within the defined standards and procedures as set out by Jabil and the customer to successfully delivery the projects
  • Provide processes, structure and motivation to project managers to successfully achieve project goal and corporate initiatives
  • Manage Site Ops PMO Mgr who develop project plans with focus on achievement of project goals and corporate initiatives, including project specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) or metrics to ensure standards are adhered to and best practice
  • Responsible for forecasting project budget and HR needs for current and future regional needs
  • Provide leaders with updates, including greatest opportunities for improvement
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer issues a priority
  • Coach Project Managers through difficult decision making situations
  • Build Ops PMO team to address the project execution for multi or enterprise level projects
  • Provide processes, structure and motivation to project managers to successfully achieve project goal and corporate initiatives
  • Tracks, evaluates and reports on deliverable status from the region
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
