Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in managing Parts Department operations
  • Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and within a group
  • Excellent understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Basic business knowledge and math skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
  • Travel between locations; some out-of-state travel required
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional bending and stooping
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally
  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record preferred
  • Must pass a pre-employment background study

Responsibilities

  • Works with Corporate Management in the region to maintain and manage the execution of the Aftermarket Strategic Business Plan for the organization
  • Develops, communicates, enforces, and monitors effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction as well as Parts Department efficiencies
  • Monitors individual and overall Parts Department performance relative to parts sales, inventory management and expense control for the region in line with the organization’s objectives
  • Facilitates the execution of parts advertising, marketing and promotional programs to grow parts sales for the organization as a whole.
  • Monitors monthly Parts Department goals and budget for the region, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives
  • Facilitates the organization’s Customer Satisfaction Program to enhance and maintain customer relationships relative to parts department support
  • Actively monitors and manages the company aged parts inventory and plans accordingly
  • Attends to, and resolves, inter-departmental issues in a fair and expedient manner
  • Actively participates in a local civic, charitable or community organization
  • Maintains and promotes a safe work environment. Demonstrates understanding of and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Performs other duties as assigned
