About The Position

Wainbee is seeking a Regional Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse, logistics, inventory, and facility operations for a specific region and its warehouse location. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, maintaining accurate inventory, and adhering to company policies. The supervisor will lead a team, manage shipping and receiving, drive continuous improvement, and uphold health, safety, and quality standards. Additionally, this position contributes to regional growth and network standardization initiatives in partnership with the national operations team.

Requirements

  • College diploma or equivalent experience in logistics, warehousing, operations, or supply chain.
  • More than 3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, including team supervision experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and shipping platforms.
  • Knowledge of best practices in safety, warehousing, and operations.
  • Bilingualism required: English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and inventory control activities.
  • Ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with conducting and managing cycle counts.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and report findings.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse space and materials.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and labelling of products.
  • Monitor the availability and condition of equipment, including forklifts, pallets, and packaging supplies.
  • Support replenishment of shop inventory and assist production teams as needed.
  • Provide guidance to warehouse staff, including scheduling, task assignment, and training.
  • Monitor individual and team performance.
  • Support employee development, engagement, and team morale.
  • Maintain health and safety practices.
  • Report incidents or hazards to the Operations Director and the HSE representative.
  • Participate in performance reviews.
  • Assist in addressing attendance, performance, or workplace conduct concerns.
  • Monitor employee development goals and set objectives aligned with department goals.
  • Coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries.
  • Assist with freight planning and documentation.
  • Facilitate internal inventory transfers between branches or departments.
  • Support compliance with transportation regulations and company shipping standards.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and facility grounds.
  • Report and coordinate maintenance or repair needs, including lighting, HVAC, and general maintenance.
  • Assist with routine safety inspections.
  • Participate in the follow-up of corrective actions related to safety or facilities.
  • Follow quality procedures and checklists aligned with ISO standards.
  • Report non-conformances.
  • Assist with root cause analysis.
  • Recommend and support the implementation of operational improvements.
  • Participate in creating or improving standard work instructions to increase efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Operations Director and cross-functional teams, including sales, purchasing, customer service, finance, and supply chain.
  • Provide updates on operational performance, issues, and resource needs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promote effective collaboration between regional and national teams.
