About The Position

Great Day Improvements LLC is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee installation and operations across its Mid-Atlantic region, covering the Western Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets. The region consists of multiple locations and is expected to grow. The company designs, manufactures, sells, and installs Patio Enclosures™ sunroom products. The role oversees projects from contract through completion, maintaining customer communication and responsibility for project profitability. The manager oversees and participates in obtaining permits, ordering materials, managing and scheduling subcontractors, and scheduling projects. In coordination with the Regional Manager, the role plans revenue and profitability and works toward monthly, quarterly, and annual targets. The manager reviews difficult jobs, ensures installations meet company quality and profitability guidelines, addresses customer concerns, and hires and trains installation teams. The position has two direct reports at each location: the Operation Administrator and the Installation Field Supervisor. It requires regular regional travel to all markets, up to 25 weeks per year.

Requirements

At least 5 years of general management experience; experience in remodeling or residential construction is preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Process-oriented approach.
Excellent customer relations and problem-solving skills.
Experience dealing with multiple trades and subcontractors.
Competence using technology.
Ability to travel by car regularly to all locations.
Operations and installation management experience in the residential home improvement industry is strongly considered.

P&L responsibility experience preferred.
Team-building and management experience preferred.
MS Excel experience is a plus.
General management experience in the remodeling or residential construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations across multiple locations.
Manage jobs and projects using the company’s in-house CRM system.
Oversee implementation of the customer satisfaction process.
Manage job profitability, job costing, and budgeting.
Recruit, hire, and train teams based on capacity needs.
Oversee team performance and train employees on proper procedures.
Evaluate and monitor subcontractor performance and quality standards.
Oversee training in proper installation procedures for company products.
Oversee and, when necessary, perform measurements and breakouts, and order materials accordingly.
Review and implement safety standards.
Meet with customers about difficult or complicated jobs and resolve challenging service problems or customer concerns.
Maintain a rolling 30-day installation schedule.
Oversee projects from contract through completion and maintain communication with customers throughout the project.
Oversee and participate in obtaining permits, ordering materials, managing and scheduling subcontractors, and scheduling projects.
Plan revenue and profitability with the Regional Manager and work toward monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets.
Review difficult jobs and ensure installations comply with company quality and profitability guidelines.
Hire and train the installation team.
