Shaw Industries is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to lead our Regional Redistribution Center located in Denver, CO. This leader will have ownership of the associate and customer experience at Shaw’s Denver location. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving, storing, order processing, shipping, and delivery of floor covering and related materials, and the associates involved with those processes. The role involves managing 25 associates, including approximately 10 Class-A CDL drivers and 15 warehouse and office associates, and servicing Shaw customers throughout the majority of Colorado and Wyoming. The manager must work closely with Sales and other business partners to meet customer demands and maintain communication with Directors of Regional Operations on facility performance. Ensuring a safe work environment in compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements, motivating associates, increasing market saturation for Shaw Truck, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring effective utilization of transportation equipment and personnel are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

Four-year degree and 5+ years of extensive management experience.
Leadership experience with large, diverse organizations.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Organized with specific attention to detail.
Willing and able to travel to regional warehouses located throughout the country.
Self-motivated and results oriented.

Nice To Haves

Distribution/Logistics management experience strongly preferred.
Background in DOT Compliance issues.

Responsibilities

Negotiating freight rates with customers to secure new business.
Ensuring all customer needs/concerns are met on a daily basis.
Ensuring effective utilization of transportation equipment and personnel for providing delivery and pick up service to customers.
