About The Position

The Regional Mental Health Coordinator provides oversight, coordination, and direct support for student mental health services across multiple GEE campuses, ensuring a consistent, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach to student wellness. Global Educational Excellence (GEE) operates a network of charter schools across Southeast Michigan focused on academic achievement and community. Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related mental health field required
• Active Michigan licensure: Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Psychologist
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in school-based or youth mental health services
• Satisfactory criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• Michigan School Social Work approval or School Counselor endorsement preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and consultation to School Social Workers and counselors across GEE campuses; facilitate regular team meetings and case reviews
• Develop, implement, and evaluate school-wide mental health programs and Tier 2/3 student support frameworks
• Provide direct crisis intervention services to students at assigned or requesting campuses
• Serve as a liaison between GEE schools and community mental health agencies, Medicaid-funded services, and outside providers
• Support staff training on trauma-informed practices, mental health literacy, suicide prevention, and culturally responsive support
• Maintain program records, outcome data, and compliance documentation related to mental health services
