About The Position

Brown University Health has openings for board certified or eligible psychiatrists interested in working in an inpatient setting. Working at Morton or St. Anne’s Hospital, you will treat patients with a variety of mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and psychosis. Our programs encompass a comprehensive view of mental health that includes and integrates the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of care. This role involves supervising providers of a 16-bed inpatient unit (St. Anne’s) and a 19-bed inpatient unit (Morton), with cross coverage responsibilities. The unit accepts elderly patients aged 55+ depending on functional status and treats a mix of diagnoses including psychotic disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. The inpatient behavioral health team includes NP, nurses, psych techs, social workers, and a recreation therapist. Participation in call is voluntary with additional compensation. The position offers 20% protected admin time and 80% clinical time, with leadership opportunities available if desired. This position is H1B friendly but cannot support a J1 visa and is PSLF Eligible.
