About The Position
The Mechanic 2 is responsible for the preventative and standard maintenance of all mechanical equipment and their associated systems at Carle. Other duties may include but are not limited to. Moving furniture and light carpenter duties, hanging shelves, pictures etc. Assists Facilities Mechanics III, IV and Lead as directed.

- Related field 2+ years
Responsibilities
- Performs all essential job functions of Maintenance Mechanic I.
- Identifies and corrects equipment malfunction in emergency situations, power failure, water leaks, etc.
- Identifies and corrects mechanical and minor electrical deficiencies.
- Detects structural, general carpentry, and roofing problems and either corrects or has corrected by proper trades.
- Conducts mechanical, and to some degree electrical, preventative maintenance checks
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance.
- Coordinates and plans relocation of personnel, furniture and equipment.
- Installs furniture, cabinetry and some light carpentry
