About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. The role involves working on a variety of makes, models, and equipment, including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and potentially large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment depending on the location. This position offers opportunities to build skills, develop a career track in service or operations management, and work within a safety-focused team environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
- Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
