About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime. This role involves working on a variety of equipment, including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and potentially large-scale power-generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment, depending on the location. The position offers opportunities to build skills, develop a career track in service or operations management, and work within a safety-focused team environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems & troubleshooting skills.
Advanced knowledge of electrical systems & troubleshooting skills.
Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training desired.
Bilingual (Spanish or Other) may be required based on location needs.
