About The Position

Risk Ledger is expanding into the US and is seeking its first dedicated in-market marketing hire. This role will report directly to the US Regional Sales Director and will be responsible for the top of the sales funnel. While collaborating with the UK-based Head of Marketing and marketing team to utilize core systems, the primary focus will be on building awareness and capturing demand to support the US go-to-market strategy. This position is ideal for a hands-on, commercially focused marketer who enjoys autonomy and is eager to build a new market from the ground up. The role encompasses campaigns, events, content localization, HubSpot execution, and local market intelligence, with the objective of enhancing the initial stages of the sales funnel, generating US market momentum, and establishing a predictable pipeline. The US represents a significant growth opportunity for Risk Ledger. While the GTM Director focuses on conversion and closing (Steps 3 & 4), this role will drive the top of the funnel (Steps 1 & 2), creating initial momentum, building awareness, and establishing the groundwork for a scalable US growth engine.

Requirements

  • "Zero-to-one" marketing experience in a B2B cybersecurity, risk, compliance, or GRC startup.
  • Experience as part of an early-stage team (Pre-Seed or Seed) that scaled marketing efforts to Series A or B.
  • 3-5 years of B2B marketing experience with a proven track record in demand generation and demand capture.
  • Ability to engage a technical audience.
  • Strong, hands-on HubSpot skills, including building, tracking, and optimizing marketing operational workflows.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate closely with sales, manage multiple campaign deadlines, and execute across events, content, and digital channels.
  • Commercial mindset, understanding how top-of-funnel efforts directly contribute to revenue and the sales machine.
  • The role is advertised with a salary for a fixed-term contract, but compensation via an hourly/monthly rate is also an option.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep familiarity with supply chain risk, third-party risk management (TPRM), or highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting a UK/European company entering the US market.
  • Exposure to modern GTM tools and tech stacks (e.g., ABM platforms, intent data, LinkedIn Ads, Salesforce, Clay, Lemlist, Factors.ai).

Responsibilities

  • Own the top of the US funnel to establish Risk Ledger's footprint, focusing on demand generation and capture.
  • Design and execute regional campaigns, leverage digital channels, and create buzz to increase awareness among US security leaders.
  • Manage hands-on campaign execution in HubSpot, including lists, emails, landing pages, forms, workflows, and tracking, to capture inbound leads.
  • Plan and execute targeted US event activities such as intimate dinners, roundtables, webinars, and partner sessions to generate pipeline with target accounts.
  • Collaborate with the UK marketing team and local freelancers to adapt core messaging and ensure campaign assets, event copy, email sequences, and blogs resonate with the US cybersecurity and risk market.
  • Act as the 'eyes and ears' on the ground, gathering local market insights and providing feedback to the wider team on what is resonating, which channels are effective, and where to focus efforts.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to build a new market from scratch.
  • Collaborate with a diverse and talented team.
  • Work with customers like ASOS, British Airways, BAE Systems, and the NHS.
