About The Position

This role is responsible for designing and implementing sustainable goals for recruitment and outreach to create and maintain a pipeline of individuals for Career Services programs. The position involves identifying and assessing job seekers, analyzing labor market trends, conducting public speaking, preparing reports, and ensuring smooth transitions for program candidates. The Regional Manager will also coordinate training, provide coaching and mentoring to Career Navigators, and collaborate with other managers to meet program needs. A key aspect of the role is contributing to continuous improvement through data analytics and ensuring compliance with various regulations and policies. The position also involves overseeing site facilities and providing support to staff and participants.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education, business, rehabilitation counseling or a counseling-related field, OR Bachelor’s degree in education, business, vocational rehabilitation or a counseling-related field and one (1) year experience in a post-secondary institution or workforce development setting with responsibility for recruitment, counseling, linking community resources, special education or instruction, OR An Associate’s degree in a education, business, or vocationally related field, and three (3) years experience in a post-secondary institution or workforce development setting with responsibility for recruitment, counseling, linking community resources, special education or instruction.
  • Strong analytical, writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in working with special populations such as disabilities, veterans, and low-income.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to facilitate positive actions and growth of job seekers in a flexible geographic environment where self-direction, prioritizing and organizational skills will be crucial to success.
  • Excellent record keeping, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of organizations and individuals.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and a clean motor vehicle report (MVR).
  • Must be able to safely operate a vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform all duties relating to Career Services including driving, material handling, transporting and carrying documents, handbooks and various supplies.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of GNG CS training program funders to include local, federal, state and foundation.
  • Familiarity and knowledgeable about regional CS training program curriculum (curricula) for excellent salesmanship in recruiting and matching efforts for jobseekers/participants.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sustainable goals for ongoing recruitment and outreach to create and maintain a pipeline of people to enroll in Career Services programs and services.
  • Develop regular contacts at local colleges, high schools, local businesses, and community leaders, groups and organizations in alignment with department goals and the strategic plan.
  • Identify and assess prospective job seekers in local communities to promote training programs, career centers, and other initiatives.
  • Analyze existing sectors, industries, and hiring trends and high growth-high demand to attract job seekers and employers to Career Services.
  • Conduct public speaking engagements to promote general awareness and educate the business public of Career Services job seeker programs and resources.
  • Prepare reports and summaries required for applicable funding and regulatory sources.
  • Ensure smooth transition of eligible and funded program candidates for CS services and programs, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate additional training and/or technical assistance to management and staff in these areas, as applicable.
  • Guide tuition support for training program candidates by understanding GNG CS training program funders.
  • Recruit and match jobseekers/participants by being familiar with regional CS training program curriculum.
  • Ensure that highest quality, individualized services are delivered to program participants, with a focus on the mission of Goodwill of North Georgia, Inc.
  • Train newly assigned Career Navigators; provide coaching and mentoring to Navigators ensuring consistently high standards of Career Services are maintained.
  • Coordinate information sessions on programs, services, and policies and procedures for new participants.
  • Coordinate regular MRD sessions orientations and trainings for interested program applicants.
  • Collaborate with Career Services managers to determine their program needs.
  • Prepare annual Professional development plan (PDP) for work and professional development and report progress in achieving goals with supervisor.
  • Participate in cross program and division teams, as assigned.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of program by identifying problem areas and implementing positive solutions by using data analytics.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Comply with Agency, Career Services, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), federal and grant regulations, policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the Agency’s safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate assigned advisory bodies to achieve program targets.
  • Oversee site facility to include maintenance and technology support needs as well as aide for CS staff, job seekers and program participants as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
