About The Position

This is a sales role focused on building new business in home health, targeting individuals with a 'hunter mentality' who enjoy prospecting and overcoming objections to earn business through persistence. The role involves calling on hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, transitional care units, physician offices, and senior living communities to create referrals rather than manage existing accounts. Success is measured by new relationships, referral growth, and admissions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Healthcare sales experience preferred, including home health, hospice, medical device, pharmaceutical, DME, or similar.
  • Proven hunter mentality with examples of building new referral relationships.
  • Comfortable discussing activity expectations, referral growth, and sales performance.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Twin Cities Metro.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new referral sources through daily cold calls, drop-ins, networking, and face-to-face visits.
  • Develop relationships with discharge planners, physicians, case managers, social workers, and healthcare leaders.
  • Educate referral partners on skilled home health services and patient eligibility.
  • Generate new admissions through consistent business development activity.
  • Collaborate with intake and clinical teams to create seamless patient transitions.
  • Track activity, referral growth, pipeline movement, and conversion metrics.
  • Continuously expand your territory and increase market share.
