The Regional General Manager, Mid-West, is responsible for establishing, building, and scaling Modular Space Solutions' presence across the region. This is a significant growth leadership role with the mandate to develop an emerging territory into a substantial and sustainable regional business. The Regional General Manager will be responsible for developing the market, accelerating commercial growth, establishing the regional operating model, and building the sales, operational, and leadership capabilities required to support long-term expansion.The role has full accountability for the performance and development of the region, including revenue growth, profitability, market penetration, customer development, operational capability, asset deployment, and people leadership. The Regional General Manager will initially have a strong commercial and business-development orientation, maintaining an active presence in the market and working closely with the existing Modular Sales team to establish customer relationships, develop opportunities, and build the regional sales pipeline. As the territory grows, the role will progressively build the operational infrastructure and leadership team necessary to support a larger and more complex regional business. The ideal candidate is a commercially driven, entrepreneurial leader who can build and scale the Mid-West region, drive revenue and profitability, develop key customer relationships, and establish the people and operations needed for sustainable growth.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is an asset; equivalent education and leadership experience will be considered.
10+ years of progressive business leadership experience with responsibility for growth, operations, people, and financial performance.
Proven success building, entering, expanding, or scaling a market, territory, business unit, or regional operation.
Strong track record of driving sustainable revenue, profitable growth, and strategic customer relationships.
Demonstrated experience building high-performing teams and operational capabilities.
Strong P&L management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and capital investment.
Experience developing business cases and evaluating investments in facilities, fleet, staffing, and market expansion.
Demonstrated ability to execute strategy, lead change, and deliver results.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region as required.
Ability to pass pre-employment criminal records check

Nice To Haves

Experience in modular space, equipment rental, construction, industrial services, asset-intensive businesses, or a related industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the regional growth strategy to expand market presence, revenue, market share, and profitability.
Identify priority markets, customer segments, and expansion opportunities.
Develop business cases and plans for new branches, facilities, fleet, staffing, and other investments.
Monitor market, competitive, and customer trends to inform regional strategy.
Build BOXX Modular’s presence and reputation through strong customer and industry relationships.
Lead regional Modular Sales and Transactional Fleet Rental activities in alignment with national objectives.
Lead and develop the sales team to achieve revenue, margin, utilization, and profitability targets.
Drive prospecting, pipeline management, forecasting, account development, and strategic opportunities.
Maintain relationships with key customers and support major negotiations and commercial agreements.
Partner with Major Projects, National Accounts, and Sales Development to maximize regional opportunities.
Establish the operating model and infrastructure required to support regional growth.
Lead the development of new branches and operations, including facilities, assets, people, and vendors.
Oversee fleet strategy, asset utilization, inventory, and asset quality.
Partner with Projects, Engineering, Construction Services, Major Projects, and Legal as required.
Drive operational excellence, safety, quality, and customer experience.
Own regional P&L performance and deliver revenue, EBITDA, profitability, and ROA targets.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, CAPEX, and financial plans.
Evaluate investments and optimize fleet, facilities, resources, and asset productivity.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Build the organization and leadership capability required to support regional growth.
Recruit, coach, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
Establish clear accountabilities, performance expectations, and succession plans.
Foster an entrepreneurial, collaborative, accountable, and high-performance culture.
Collaborate with other Regional General Managers to share best practices and resources.
Champion the Company’s HS&E program and promote a strong safety culture.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Company policies.
Identify and manage risks associated with regional operations and growth.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
