About The Position

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Fleet Manager to oversee fleet operations across the Ohio-Indiana-Kentucky area. This role is responsible for managing the performance, maintenance, utilization, and compliance of a diverse fleet supporting electrical construction projects, including transmission, distribution, substation, and drilling operations. The Regional Fleet Manager will partner closely with operations, safety, and finance teams to ensure equipment reliability, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This individual will play a key role in supporting field productivity by ensuring the right equipment is available, properly maintained, and operating safely.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in fleet management, heavy equipment, or related field, preferably in construction or utilities
  • Strong knowledge of fleet operations, preventative maintenance, and equipment lifecycle management
  • Experience managing teams, including field mechanics or fleet personnel
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and capital planning
  • Ability to analyze data and use fleet management systems to drive decisions
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain
  • Willingness to travel within the region to support job sites and operations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day fleet operations across the region, including vehicles, heavy equipment, and specialty utility equipment
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime and extend equipment life
  • Manage fleet utilization, ensuring equipment is effectively allocated across projects based on demand
  • Monitor and control fleet-related costs, including maintenance, repairs, and capital expenditures
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards, including inspections and documentation
  • Recruit, hire, lead and support field mechanics and fleet personnel, including scheduling, performance management, and training
  • Partner with operations teams to plan equipment needs for upcoming projects and mobilizations
  • Manage vendor relationships for equipment procurement, maintenance, and repairs
  • Oversee equipment lifecycle management, including acquisition, replacement, and disposal strategies
  • Maintain accurate fleet records, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Support incident investigations related to fleet and equipment as needed
