About The Position

The LIBRE Initiative, rooted in the Hispanic community, brings people together to advance public policy solutions that create the freedom and opportunity for individuals to chase their American Dream. LIBRE empowers communities by advocating for immigration system reform, affordable and flexible healthcare options, an individualized education system, and a robust economy. The LIBRE Initiative is part of Americans for Prosperity and the Stand Together philanthropic community. As a Regional Field Manager (internally referred to as a Grassroots Engagement Director), you will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in Greeley, Colorado and mobilize them to take action, and drive policy reforms that open opportunities for all.

Requirements

Passion for people, ability to build relationships quickly with people from all walks of life, and understand how to inspire and motivate them.
Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
Self-motivation, always looking for the best way to use your time to accomplish objectives.
Organization skills and the ability to keep multiple events and activities on track for yourself and the people you engage to help you.
Works well with a team of people, including LIBRE staff and activists.
Excitement to canvass neighborhoods and make phone calls for LIBRE and AFP priority initiatives and AFP Action endorsed candidates, as well as motivate and coordinate volunteers to do the same.
A valid driver's license to be able to travel to meet with people in your area and across the state, as needed.
Willingness to work a flexible and changing work schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in Spanish and English.
Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, and/or political campaigns.
Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently - or could become leaders - in their local communities, and motivate them to advocate for change.
Equip these local leaders to advocate for changes that are consistent with principles LIBRE believes in by connecting them to training and other resources.
Organize events where you and other activists can engage the public through phone calls, social media, and face-to-face neighborhood walks.
Innovate by creating fun or unique ways to reach people to educate them on public policy issues and initiatives.
Ensure that the LIBRE Initiative stays in regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
Manage part-time canvassing contractors, including time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices.
