About The Position

The Regional Environmental, Health & Safety Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing regional activities associated with Environmental, Health and Safety compliance. This role involves leading and directing EHS activities for the A&I operations group based in Norcross, GA, ensuring adherence to safety policies, guidelines, and procedures, and providing daily guidance to ensure effective EHS practices. The position requires a strong understanding of federal and regional regulations (OSHA and EPA), including specific environmental reporting requirements and DOT regulations. Responsibilities include risk assessment, loss prevention, incident investigation, conducting field reviews, maintaining knowledge of new regulations, developing and implementing EHS training programs, managing workers' compensation and insurance programs, and overseeing EHS web-based systems. The role also involves assisting with business development processes and ensuring adherence to all company health and safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience in safety management, environmental management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and directing the environmental, health and safety activities for the A&I operations group.
  • Reinforcing safe working techniques, safety policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Providing daily guidance and direction at the regional level to ensure a common and effective approach.
  • Assisting with regulatory compliance and aiding with incident and injury reduction.
  • Developing, implementing, and coordinating regulatory programs to support the compliance process.
  • Managing Environmental regulatory and reporting requirements (NPDES, CWA, SDWA, EPCRA, RCRA, SPCC, RMP, air and waste regulations).
  • Assisting with Department of Transportation regulations (Federal and State) for DOT compliance.
  • Identifying possible losses, evaluating risk, developing and implementing plans to correct or prevent losses, and auditing the plan's effectiveness.
  • Coordinating inspections by regulatory agencies, minimizing deficiencies, and ensuring corrections.
  • Reviewing accidents and incidents, assisting in corrective action development, and verifying completion.
  • Conducting field reviews, inspections, and audits, developing corrective actions, and verifying completion.
  • Maintaining knowledge of new regulations and standards impacting company operations.
  • Developing and implementing an EHS training matrix and ensuring required training completion.
  • Conducting EHS and DOT training for management, field employees, and contractors.
  • Developing, providing, and continuously improving EHS and DOT Training programs.
  • Managing workers’ compensation, auto, and other applicable insurance programs.
  • Managing the EHS web-based systems, including Learning Management and Incident Management Systems.
  • Assisting with the Business Development process, including due diligence and transitions.
  • Understanding and adhering to all company health and safety procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
