About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Regional EHS Manager to join our team. This position can be based in one of our facility in Toronto, ON, Mississauga, ON, Burlington, ON or Kitchener, ON and offers benefits from day one. The expected annual salary range for this role is $106000 - $133000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Eaton’s Electrical Services and Sales divisions delivers critical power system services across Canada, supporting customers through installation, maintenance, and emergency response. The Regional EHS Manager serves as the Canadian EHS leader for Services and Sales operations, accountable for driving a zero-incident culture and ensuring the safe execution of work across a geographically dispersed, field-based workforce. This role provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and people leadership for all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across Canada, including the direct management and development of EHS personnel. The role supports multiple business units with varied operational risk profiles, requiring strong adaptability and cross-functional influence. This position operates in a hybrid, field-based model and requires consistent in-person presence at Eaton facilities (minimum three days per week) and regular travel to customer sites to effectively engage with teams, conduct observations, and influence safety culture. The Regional EHS Manager reports directly to the Director, EHS EESS Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS role
  • Familiarity with Federal and Provincial regulations (e.g., OHSA, CSA, ESA)
  • Ability to travel up to 40% within Canada
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Ability to travel to the United States as required
  • Candidate must reside within 80 km of an Eaton Services facility and be able to support a hybrid model that includes regular in-office/field presence

Nice To Haves

  • Professional safety certification: Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Health & Safety Technician (CHST) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety, including Arc Flash and Control of Hazardous Energy
  • Experience supporting a remote or field-based workforce. Experience in the electrical or industrial services industry
  • Experience developing and implementing safety programs
  • Familiarity with tools such as Benchmark, Power BI, and Salesforce
  • Familiarity with Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles
  • Experience leading cross-regional projects and change management initiatives
  • Familiarity with contractor management platforms (e.g., ISN, Avetta)
  • Bilingual capability (English required; French considered a strong asset, particularly for Quebec-based support). Ability to operate effectively in English across the majority of the workforce is essential
  • Experience managing direct reports

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all EHS activities across Canada for Services and Sales operations
  • Provide strategic leadership to drive a proactive, zero-incident safety culture
  • Directly manage, coach, and develop assigned EHS personnel, including performance management, capability building, and succession planning
  • Partner with operational leadership to identify safety exposures and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Monitor safety performance trends and take initiative to drive continuous improvement
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on industry, regulatory, and technical safety topics
  • Lead internal / external reporting of, and support operations with, incident management processes, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Ensure alignment with Eaton policies, MESH requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
  • Support compliance with Federal and Provincial regulations (e.g., OHSA, CSA, ESA)
  • Maintain a strong and visible field presence through regular engagement at Eaton facilities and customer sites
  • Provide practical guidance to field teams on safe work practices and hazard identification
  • Conduct safety audits, field observations, and site visits across a geographically dispersed region
  • Support local leadership teams in implementing and reviewing customer-specific safety requirements
  • Deliver and coordinate required safety training, ensuring compliance and completion across the workforce
  • Partner with training teams to define, track, and continuously improve EHS training programs
  • Build field capability through coaching, mentoring, and structured development approaches
  • Develop and deploy scalable safety programs for a distributed and remote workforce
  • Lead regular safety communications, including safety meetings and awareness initiatives
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety performance
  • Act as the primary EHS interface for Canadian Services and Sales operations
  • Collaborate with EHS leaders across North America and other global regions to ensure alignment with regional strategies and standards
  • Lead cross-functional engagement across operations, engineering, and commercial teams
  • Drive consistency in EHS execution across multiple business units with varying operational requirements
